Two early forums shaped the Eurasian HTA Initiative and its shared direction.

The Green Park Hotel, Ankara
The kick-off meeting brought together representatives from Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Montenegro, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey.
The founding meeting of the Eurasian HTA Initiative took place on 12–13 March 2015 in Ankara.
Country teams presented their experience in evidence-based medicine, quality improvement and health technology assessment.
27–29 NOVEMBER 2015
Haliç Congress Center, Istanbul
The second meeting continued regional collaboration. Albania joined as a new member, Tunisia participated as an observer and the Istanbul Statement was signed.
The second meeting was held in Istanbul from 27–29 November 2015.
The Istanbul Statement was signed by all participating members at the meeting.
Country teams shared national work on evidence-based decision-making and HTA.
Representatives brought expertise from medicine, pharmacy, nursing, management and economics.
The Istanbul Statement recorded a common direction for the initiative.
